What is engineered concrete sand?
Sand manufactured from basalt rock on VSI (vertical shaft impactor) technology. Particles are cubical and consistently graded — free of the silt, clay and organic impurities found in natural river sand.
How does it compare to river sand?
It meets river-sand standards with better particle locking, stronger cement bonding, lower water absorption and higher compressive strength — while being fully eco-friendly after the dredging ban.
Is it approved for structural concrete?
Yes. Our concrete sand conforms to Zone II gradation requirements for RCC work, and every dispatch carries a batch quality certificate. Third-party lab reports are available on request.
What is your delivery radius and minimum order?
We deliver across Vasai, Virar, Mira-Bhayandar and greater Mumbai on our own fleet. Minimum order depends on material and distance — send us your site pin and we'll confirm same day.
How is quality controlled?
Every production run is tested for gradation, silt content and moisture. Quarry-to-plant sourcing means the raw material never changes — so neither does the output.
Do you take infrastructure work contracts?

What is the difference between concrete sand and plaster sand?
Concrete sand is coarser and graded to Zone II for structural RCC work, giving better particle interlock and compressive strength. Plaster sand is finer and screened for a smooth finish on walls and ceilings, so renders cure evenly without surface cracking.
Do you supply aggregates as well as sand?
Yes. Alongside engineered sand we supply black basalt rock, 10mm and 20mm cubical aggregates, crushed stone dust, and GSB and WMM road-base mixes — all from the same quarry, so gradation stays consistent across your order.
Can you match a custom gradation for our mix design?
We can. Our VSI plant lets us tune the output curve to a specified fineness modulus. Send us your mix design or target gradation and our technical team will confirm what we can hold and at what tolerance.
How soon can material reach my site?
For sites within Vasai, Virar and Mira-Bhayandar we typically dispatch same or next working day. Greater Mumbai deliveries depend on load size and traffic windows — our dispatch desk confirms a slot when the order is placed.
Is manufactured sand really more economical than river sand?
In most cases, yes. Consistent gradation and zero silt mean less cement is needed to hit the same strength, and there is no wastage from washing or screening on site. Add stable supply pricing and the delivered cost per cubic metre usually works out lower.
How does Capitan handle environmental compliance?
Every quarry we operate runs under an approved mining plan with the required environmental clearances. Dust suppression, controlled blasting windows and phased restoration are part of the operating routine, not an afterthought.
Do you work with government and institutional projects?
